I wasn’t hired, but years ago when I was starting my career I had one of the worst interview experiences of my life through HN. At the time I had about 1 year experience and the first interview was how to architect a banking transaction system. This was for a frontend role I might add. I wasn’t in the country, so I all the interviews were at 3am. For the second round they didn’t show up and rescheduled. The third round was to tell me I didn’t get the job.

I’m glad I dodged that bullet as the company went under shortly after and it was clear that the interviewers had no respect for anyone applying to the job.

I did get a job through Reddit by posting in the countries subreddit. That was a great job and I remain in contact with my old boss.
