Ask HN: Who is looking for a cofounder in London?

10•warthog•6mo ago
I believe London's startup scene is underrated mainly for one reason: it is disconnected. Early stage startups do not come together as often as SF does, no YC-like culture.

This is an effort to enable HN people to meet.

Plenty of founder networking meetups in London: https://www.meetup.com/find/?location=gb--17--London&source=...

YC's cofounder matching platform is great to, as long as you know what you want: https://www.startupschool.org/cofounder-matching

muzani•6mo ago
I'd vouch for the cofounder matching platform. I've met a few people near Kuala Lumpur after a week of leaving matches on... there's just so many as a techie that I had to turn it off. London is a much bigger city so it should work better.
ensemblehq•6mo ago
Interesting. During my time there, I found the scene to be decently vibrant. It's definitely not SF but there are quite a few events and get-togethers happening around.
Jommi•6mo ago
SF scene doesn't "come together", it just has many many many sub scenes of people that exist. In most other cities only a few tech sub scenes exist.

You will need to do the work to find them, but the quality of them will be higher than random luma events in SF.

but do try luma in London, thast the modern meetup.com (meetup.com is for old farts)
