I expected Microsoft to create their own Linux distribution which was completely compatible with existing Linux features and protocols but added new support to directly support Microsoft features.

I expected Genode to show up as complete capabilities based operating system that could be used stand alone environment, with PowerBox controls replacing file dialogs, and some interesting ideas about security and command lines.

I strongly suspect they've been encouraged not to do that for ... reasons
