Do you recommend any alternatives to Logi Options+? I've heard about BetterMouse, does anyone use it?

I've got one of their lesser gaming mice and it was pretty good to begin with. It had the RGB glowing constantly at a default condition whenever there was USB power to the mouse. But only if you installed the Windows Logitech software could you change the RGB to a different pattern or turn it off.

Never really needed their software, used the mouse on various Windows and Linux systems. Then one day a firmware update came automatically while Windows was online.

Now the RGB glows (apparently part of its initialization) only when you first turn on the PC, never to be glowing again unless you are using Windows and have the Logitech software running.

I ditched Logi Options+ and use SteerMouse instead. I wouldn't call myself a mouse power-user, but it's been good enough for me.

LinearMouse seems like a good temporary alternative for basic button actions. But doesn't support gestures.
