Open Web Desktop (OWD) is a framework designed to provide a simple environment for building web-based desktop experiences. It's built with Vue.js & TypeScript, and it leverages the extensible Nuxt.js architecture.
It's been recently rewritten and comes without a file system. Since it's modular, if you like to have your own file system I guess it could be implemented with a module. It's made for learning and showcasing cool things, not to replace your operating system. There are two themes available, Windows 95 and Gnome. A lot of components should be created and styled, it's using PrimeVue (unstyled) as UI library.
