When I started freelancing, I needed a time tracking tool to calculate the hours spent for each of my clients, to easily generate their invoices at the end of the month.
But I really didn't want to add another tool/SaaS to the list I already use daily. Especially since I use my calendar constantly to organize myself and know what I need to do.
I would have ended up with my work information (and tracked time) in two different places, which wasn't ideal for me.
So, I developed Timescanner: a Time Tracker that analyzes an iCal URL (.ics file) and sums up work time based on a simple pattern: [Client][Project] Event's name.
In fact, it's more than just a Time Tracker; it's essentially an event naming standard, kind of like conventional commits.
I've put zero effort into design (including the landing page), but I'm looking for your feedback on the app and its concept!
Thanks,
