Hi HN community,

I recently built an app called *ImgDetect*, an AI-powered tool that detects AI-generated, manipulated, or fake images.

How it works: - Upload an image (or paste a link). - ImgDetect analyzes the image using multiple AI models. - It provides a probability score and highlights possible manipulations.

Why I built it: With the rise of AI-generated content, it's becoming harder to distinguish real from fake. I wanted to create a lightweight, privacy-focused tool that anyone can use without technical knowledge.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion! Right now, our main focus with ImgDetect is on delivering fast AI detection and maintaining a simple, seamless user experience. But I agree — if server load increases significantly or we need extra protection in the future, implementing a creative captcha system like the one you mentioned sounds like a really smart idea. Where is the web link? you only included the app download link....

edit - I found it and there is no web usable version and you're already looking for subscriptions, how do we know how well it works, many people make something in this space that goes dead quickly.
