Launching MyPhotosGallery – Simple, Affordable Gallery Creation in Ghana

I recently launched MyPhotosGallery, a project focused on making photos/videos gallery creation accessible in Ghana. The product is priced in local currency (GHS) to reflect the local market.

Users can easily create beautiful online photo galleries without needing any technical skills. Whether it's for personal memories, events like weddings and funerals, or showcasing a portfolio, the application connects with Google Photos and share galleries instantly.

My goal is to empower individuals and small businesses in Ghana with an easy way to present their photos/videos online without the complexity or high cost of traditional website creation. Another potential use case is for individuals to add ads image/video into their galleries since content creation is one major source of revenue. I am still exploring the next steps but any extra feature will not increase the current pricing.

I would love feedback from the Hacker News community on how I can improve this further, especially for a local-first digital product.

Sound like a good product. How do you receive payments since its in Africa, do you use Stripe?
mekrom•9mo ago
I use Paystack for receiving payments, I think they are connected to Stripe but I am not sure about the details
