Roku's winning strategy is ads. What's Apple's?

I’ve never used a Roku device that didn’t feel very laggy and slow to use. I get they’re cheap but family who have one have replaced them a couple of times.

I bought an Apple TV seven years ago and it’s doing just fine. I have no reason to worry about it.

I got a big Roku 4K TV for next to nothing on a holiday deal 3 years ago. It works great. The ads aren't intrusive and it handles power and input switching (and auto HDR and game modes) from my two game consoles.

The mobile app is good, too. It can turn on the set, pick a channel, and start a show just from the search box.

They also have a surprising amount of their own content which plays on the TV or the mobile app, including good stuff they've licensed that's not popular enough for the big boys to carry, like Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
