If things are really shifting to the extent that AI proponents keep saying they are, then I have no desire to adapt. That's a dev world that I find so unappealing and unsatisfying that I would prefer to find another line of work than to work in it.
Although, realistically, even if the AI proponents are correct in their speculations, there will still be plenty traditional dev positions available for decades to come.
