Anyone Else Sick of Stripe?

11•sukiakiman•9mo ago
Just got kicked off a few weeks ago. Something about having two transactions for the same account and same amount. WTF! They said it was fraud. How can they just do that? There has got to be better solutions for me.

checkout riftpayment.com

they are a marketplace full of payment service providers from large companies like fiserv to smaller shops focusing on dev work. they have direct relationships, not third parties.

Not sure I'd fully trust a payment provider that hosts their T&C on a google drive, and there's no info about the company to be found on their own site.
sukiakiman•9mo ago
Thx for heads up. It appears they aren't a processor but a marketplace for payment providers. Maybe that's why. Don't know. I will try and report back.
sukiakiman•9mo ago
Cool. I will check out. Thx

I saw the writing on the wall in 2017 and decided to never use stripe, and have been happily migrating new clients off of it since.

There's a large market for offboarding stripe clients.

Yeah my experience sucked. Sounds like I was not alone. Not only that is was expensive AF. I tried Rift last night. And I already got 6 bids for my business. I selected one and have a calendly with them on Monday. Was super easy. Will see how it goes. Will report back.
sukiakiman•9mo ago
Wow. So cool. Just used riftpayment.com. Super smooth and easy. They coordinated with the processor I chose from their platform and we had a calendly meet. Took 15 mins. Got all the paperwork. Should be processing in a few days.
