Pro-Russian influence operation in election attempt to 'poison' AI chatbots

The story is Russia playing the long game, not the Australian election. Pravda Australia publishes stories, which get absorbed into AI training sets, which then influence chatbot outputs.

Astute observation for both being a long game and any divergence of chatbot for a more Russia friendly response will do little in this election.

LLMs for media and other general information services are for the most part similar to a bar fly / drunk who's good at remembering stuff and always full of information ... until a point when it's apparent maybe not when the bar fly starts talking about stuff one knows intricately as it's their field of work or interest.

Also IMHO while a small percentage will be distracted by other things that perhaps affect them, the election for those who are politically mature here in Australia, it will be more about letting some apparently brain dead politicians know that no means no, once again, since they apparently lack the ability to read the room. Many are simply not interested in the very large and expensive (old school) nuclear agenda gravy train, to even get on the tracks. In the end such projects are NIMBY, and after wasting billions, if not a trillion aud on planning, feasibility in given locations ... -- won't go ahead as it once more is realised it creates a security vulnerabilities on a couple of levels as well as having a ticking environmental time bomb if $$$$$ isn't spent annually to avoid SNAFU.

On a side note in regard to energy production, it's also super annoying knowing Texas (USA) was reportedly producing 9 GW of solar power a day - enough to provide power for most of Queensland and New South Wales (Australia) - both states are multiples in size of Texas.

Edit: at not are.
