True, but it's easy to see that effects of smoking are worse than those of heavy drinking, it's just that they typically appear later in life.

As studies continue this number will only drop. As a student I see measurable effects of others that do and do not partake in drinking/smoking. Physical, but moreso mental health are greatly, but subtely affected.
