I created a non medical AI-therapy for everyday emotional support

Hey HN,

I’ve been quietly building something that I really needed but couldn’t find anywhere else. It’s called Gentlee — a non-clinical, AI-powered space for emotional support that helps you find clarity, not just vent.

I wanted a space to let out the things looping in my head — not to get advice, or be told to take action — but to feel gently heard, and maybe see things from a softer angle. Friends want to help. Therapists are amazing. But sometimes you’re just not ready for either. You’re somewhere in between. That’s where Gentlee lives.

Gentlee reflects what you’re feeling, gently reframes it with insights grounded in psychology, and offers perspective. And when you are ready, it nudges you toward action — but never forces it. It’s emotional support without the performance — no streaks, no scoreboards, no pressure to “get better” on a timeline.

I built this using Lovable, which made it possible for someone like me (a non-tech PM) to bring this to life. The learning curve was steep, especially getting the backend and prompt logic to work the way I wanted, but it’s been incredibly rewarding.

If you’ve ever felt like you needed a little space to feel, without being fixed—I’d love for you to try it. It’s still early days, but I’m excited to grow it with real feedback from real people.

Thanks for reading. – Chloe
