Sort of like an event newsletter, but instead of e-mails, you receive events in an automatically updated calendar you can subscribe to.

oh, the post text got cut off
so it's still in beta but it really helped me discover local events without googling/ explicitly searching
free and no signups required to use
for best results: specify topic + location (like jazz events in New York, medical conferences in Zurich, AI meetups online, etc.) and don't stack topics (so no queries like "sporting, tech and medical events in SF").
