While that's all very well, it's reasonably tiny next to Europe, and, crucially, it doesn't exist, and may never exist (no-one seems that excited about it except brexiteers, and even they seem to have more or less forgotten about it), whereas the EU does (and Canada already has a trade treaty with it).
Improving the existing trade treaty, and getting more defence trade going (Canada and Europe already do some, of course) seems far more plausible than setting up a whole new EU-type thing that no-one much appears to want.

Fuck the euro's, they can find another place to mine.We dont need them for anything.Canada is booming and they need someone to pay for there wars and lifestyle.
Austrailia and New Zealand are physicly too far away, and there is no mutual benifits to some kind of quasi beurocratic integration. The UK is a mess, and all they do is play money games, very successfuly it's clear, but in reality they are vulnerable and loosing relevance.
The whole world is leveling up with technology, except that most of the non anglo countrys, have much larger and younger populations, and it is too those countrys that Canada ows itcs current prosperity, people from the carebiean and mexico working in forsetry, fishing and agriculture, specialits from india and china, workers of all types from africa, disguntled koreans and japanese, and who knows how many ukrainians doing anything to stay afloat and loose there accents as fast as possible, we dont need any more fucking beurocratic asses in chairs already, eh!
