ive given up on reddit. on like my 20th account and tired of getting banned for no reason.
rzzzwilson•9mo ago
Ditto. I'm on my twelfth account in nine months, and at three weeks old it's due to be banned, on past experience.
deadstack•9mo ago
I was fine on reddit for years - its only in the last few months I've started getting banned in different subreddits for indiscernible reasons.

Moderation on reddit is really out of control.

badmonster•9mo ago
that's brutal.
ggm•9mo ago
I roll accounts as a matter of principle. I'm on my 6th or so. It's low burden. If your engagement model has posting frequently, I can see the barriers rise here until you get over some threshold.

I'm seeking to reduce my surface of posting for a number of reasons, getting tall enough to be on the fairground ride isn't my central problem.

Reddit used IP-blocks at one time. I could generate new IPs just changing the MAC-code and the IP-block was eventually citywide. But as it happens Reddit is mostly for inbred overweight rubes with special pronomines in Finland.
