Show HN: Slack App for Hybrid Teams

https://wellcome.me
3•yakbarber•3d ago
Hi everyone,

I got tired of the daily "Where is everyone working from?" / "Who's coming in today" messages in various slack channels. So I built *FindMyTeam*: it's a Slack app that pings your team once a day with three buttons – Home, Office, Traveling – and then shows a quick who's‑where summary (plus a monthly heat‑map in the App Home to see patterns).

How it works:

* Once a day the app posts a reminder to check-in

* Either hit one of the three buttons, or use natural language (AI, yo! ;)

* The app maintains a summary each day in the channel

* Reminder times can be customized per channel

Why I’m posting:

1. I'd love people to use it and give feedback

2. Slack requires ~10 live installs before the app can appear in the App Store...so I'd love to get at least that far!

If you’re:

* part of a hybrid team

* allowed to add apps (or have a friendly admin)

* willing to give a minute of feedback when something feels off

There is a 14 day free trial, and a special discount code "SHOWHN" so you'll get it free for a YEAR if you sign up within the next week of this post.

Let me know if you have any questions.

cheers! – Rich
