Is board room makeup really influenced by that?
DEI activity seemed to revolve more around individual employees. Yeah you had board members celebrated for their race, sex, and so on but I'm not sure those were really DEI type "hires".
Board makeup always seemed to be more about people in the industry and networking / buddies.

Compared to populace, the white men are overrepresented (women plus non white men are more then half populace). So, no, it will not make them roll back. It will make them feel unfairly suppressed, regardless of being overrepresented.
