I'm just confused by the number of people on this site that are adamant that their phones cannot possibly be listening in on them 24/7 and sending data back to Apple or Google on what they overhear.

"We'd notice the bandwidth usage!"

"The CPU would spike and it'd be obvious!"

As it turns out, it was not obvious.
