Loving this analysis.

I'm one of the Sourcery founders and we'll take this on board and try to improve our reviews pretty quickly based on where we're falling short here.

If there's any other feedback you (or anybody else) has - please let me know!

domdomegg•7mo ago
Thanks! As I said in the analysis, I think Sourcery gives the best quality comments out of all the different systems in terms of explanation quality and solution quality.

But I think it just didn't catch as much as the other tools - possibly the default preset is a bit too cautious about reporting problems.

Keen to see how these tools improve, and think you'll probably go far if you are listening out for feedback like this :)

Really liked the analysis.

We’re building Kodus, an AI code review agent that works directly on GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Azure. The idea is that Kody, our agent, leaves comments on PRs with suggestions based on your team’s existing patterns. And over time, it learns from the reviews your team has already done.

You can configure what it comments on and how it gives feedback, and everything happens right inside the PR so the team doesn’t have to leave their usual flow.

If you feel like testing it out and sharing feedback, we’d really appreciate it. We’re listening closely to the community to make Kody more useful in real-world workflows. https://kodus.io
