It's bolted on 'security' 'reasons' are all but that. When looking inside Apple's App Store you find fraudulent app after fraudulent app. And I don't think they're incompetent enough to otherwise make an insecure OS.
Yet there's no other way to provide my users with an app for their device should they choose to use Apple. They have the difficult choice to leave behind an ecosystem that's entrapped them.
I have no choice, given I want to provide them a service they expect, from paying Apple's uncompetitive Monopoly Charge.
No one but Apple wins. It hurts consumers. It hurts small businesses. It hurts the American and World economies by stifling innovation and growth. Overall we all lose from the deadweight loss the monopoly charge, essentially a tax, imposes.
