Yes, all the evidence clearly indicates that MSG is a naturally-occurring substance that is not harmful to the human body. But my wife gets headaches and stomach pains if she ingests it. No doubt psychosomatic, right? You go ahead and try to tell her that, I'm still nursing my wounds from my last attempt.

No, it is quite possibly MSG sensitivity, which seems to be a very real thing that effects ~1% of the population. Plenty of things aren’t “harmful to the human body” in the general sense, but still have some portion of the population with a negative reaction, either an allergy or sensitivity.

Every person isn't the median person.

About two years ago I popped in at my local asian shop, and was surprised to see that they were selling MSG, fairly cheap. Suddenly some Uncle Roger videos came to my mind, and bought a bag.

I used it up in about 2 weeks, it was really nice in all dishes I prepared. I bough another bag, which was the same. But once I used up about half of it, I suddenly have had enough of it, and I felt it disgusting. I still have that opened bag... and I don't think I will use it again.

I guess I overused in a very short period and made myself hate it, which is a shame, because I really enjoyed the honeymoon period...
