both sides have a powerful and intelligent entourage of economic experts and political strategists advising and understanding what's happening. There was no chaos or misunderstanding. You can literally watch youtube series who explain what was coming; and still coming.
>The working man’s car is tariffed. The rich man’s chauffeur is not tariffed.
the working man's car was domestically assembled and not tariffed.
The rich man's chauffeur's european luxury car is tariffed and those costs are passed onto the rich man.
Seems he has this backwards.
>The Trump administration and its allies in Congress are aiming to pass a big tax cut. That tax cut may be decorated with a few symbolic concessions to low-wage workers.
The 'big tax cut' is no income tax on anyone earning less than $200,000. No income tax is more than a 'few symbolic concessions'
Im confused.
>Most of its benefit, however, will accrue to the very richest people in U.S. society.
If the new income tax only impact the richest people, how does it only benefit them? This seems backwards.
Both my car and my wife's were assembled in Japan. No reason to think now they would not have been subject to a tariff that I think currently stands at 24%.
> The 'big tax cut' is no income tax on anyone earning less than $200,000
This will absolutely not happen.
