How did Brexit worked out for the UK ? Isn't it the same guy behind the brexit the head for this immigration thing?

My company has lots of trouble on hiring people in uk. There is simply no applicants and they hire people from abroad who are simply now giving up in the interview process because of those news. I've heard that the branch in the UK is likely to close :(
