.. it's vaguely mentioned late in this article:

  He acknowledged a full tilt toward AI-based support roles resulted in lower quality work.
But apparently not enough to pull the article/rewrite the title.

The end goal is to fire 100% of the workforce to secure an infinite, automated, exponential money printer. AI is merely a justification that he anticipates will sound nice enough to early VCs he's afraid will dump on him.
