Ugh, awful news, but a good reminder of what Microsoft's commitment to open source actually looks like; if they can't embrace, extend, and extinguish (see recent VSCode moves), they're not really interested.

This reminds me they almost fired the PowerShell creator in the past. In Python case, if Faster Cpython goes under, at least we still have PyPy. I wish someday it gets much more used.
