People in Sacramento and to and from the Bay have driven like they're trying to kill each other for the past 2-ish years. Driving has suffered since the pandemic, certainly, but there's been a marked decline more recently. The cynical part of me wonders if the... let's be charitable and call it "untimeliness"... of this extremely overdue change in enforcement by the CHP was motivated by people being such meanies to the police.
