Ask HN: AugmentOS.. have you tried it?

I think I have a use case for smart glasses that I want to explore, and augmentOS looks like it would be a way to get there easily, but I am not super comfortable with what I think ( based on available descriptions -- I did not look at their github yet ) doing everything on somebody else's server means for that use case.

I guess the question is: from privacy standpoint, do you take any particular steps to make smart glasses more local or, at least, more under your control?

Super new to smart glasses so feel free to share alternative resources/reading materials.
