I’m a solo developer, and today I launched my game: Star Mission: Remote Sectors. It’s a story-driven sci-fi adventure built in Unreal Engine, focused on exploration, mystery, and atmosphere—not combat.
You play as a space explorer investigating a gravity anomaly on a remote planet. The idea was to make the mission feel like an episodic journey—like those classic “away missions” that always stuck with me growing up watching Trek.
About 1.5 years ago, I switched from Unity to Unreal Engine and started working on this project. While I initially missed C# scripting, Unreal’s C++ isn't as bad as its reputation suggests. Once I got used to the API and patterns, I actually came to enjoy it—especially for building custom systems like crafting, save/load logic, and post-process effects.
