In the Star Trek franchise the headquarters of Starfleet was in San Francisco California. The creator of Star Trek did this because his political views regarding San Francisco and the future of civilization led him to believe San Francisco would be the center of the future.

But maybe in the real life the headquarters of our equivalent of Starfleet might be this place in Texas? Maybe in Houston which is nearby with its NASA building?

Of course we might not ever have our own version of Starfleet or anything like that. But just food for thought. Something interesting to think about.
