Just like OpenSCAD, ZDS offers a code CAD experience if you like. It's a hybrid between the two worlds of traditional CAD and code CAD.
Unlike OpenSCAD, you can have real typed code. You can specify real dimensions. That's not a thing in OpenSCAD.
Unlike OpenSCAD, ZDS generates STEP files with BREP geometry. OpenSCAD outputs meshes only.
I'm a huge OpenSCAD lover, but to dismiss this so fast is a bit disingenuous :)
I guess some people new to 3D drawing might like it, but i don't see it used professionally.
