Why do you care if everyone starts work around the same time? And why in the name of DOG do you think that a meeting is the best way to enforce that?

I've worked at two places that had 'Slack standups' in the morning. These don't really work for me because often I am 'swapped out' with whatever I was thinking about in the evening and I found it a distraction to write up exactly what I was up to and was planning to do.

I switched to filling these out when I leave work instead of when I start so I have something to remind me of what I was working on and what I need to do next. I haven't once gotten a complaint.
