TruVi – Rethinking take home assignment in your hiring

https://www.truvi.app
1•sungmanch•8mo ago
We’re two engineers who got frustrated with the way technical hiring is done in the age of AI.

Today, many companies still rely on traditional coding tests or LeetCode style problems to evaluate engineers. But with tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot becoming part of daily workflows, these tests often fail to show how candidates really think, debug, or use AI as a tool.

So we built TruVi — a tool that helps startup CTOs, founders, heads of engineering evaluate not just the final answer, but how candidates got there, including: • How they prompt AI tools • How they edit or debug the output • How they combine their own logic with AI suggestions

Our goal is not to penalize AI usage. We believe good engineers should use good tools. Instead, we want to reveal their problem-solving process and thinking quality behind the code.

We’re looking to learn from the community. If you’re involved in hiring or technical interviews, we’d love to hear your thoughts.
