They are not honest.

Adults are insane and polite society is a lie covered by each our own misapprehension.

This “misapprehension” is where you spend your life taking one kind of emotional deluge out on something else until that completely screws you, and then you see you weren’t well prepared for a world that actually works just fine if you aren’t your own problem.

Teach to develop a talent. Your talents (and skills) are the riches you will take with you everywhere in life. Anything else will become junk you don’t have room for. That’s mental health.
