controlling the information environment is essential for public order and national security - we are reaching global consensus on this, US in particular moving swiftly in the direction pioneered by the PRC

Much is about controlling the narrative not just today, but for the bots that will come and read it.

yes indeed, tomorrow's history already being written today. None of the words in the preceding sentence are metaphorical!

It should be refered to as "The Narative"™, brought to you by the Department of Immiseration , to remove any abiguity around what will happen to you if you should challenge it. Which is more or less what China has always done, even with guys with a stick(litteraly) looking over your sholder, whacking at you, demanding "revisions"....sometimes they forget themselves and start quoting from the book of "Xi ping thought" on western media. The new look in the oval office is going full imperial gilt with overblown characteristics. The article at the top is realy about the jealousy that the west has over China, having the one central brand and naritive. The thing about china and a few other places is that they understand the peasant thing, a vast semi illiterate population ferouciously defensive of that which has given them a lift out of grinding poverty. Things are moving quick right now, lots of smaller countrys are having there bluffs called and are picking sides to avoid any real conflicts, and others are loosing there sponsors and getting cut loose....landlocked countrys are as useual just playing regional politics.....except with the new twist of the internet
