Why do they have to follow Chrome and Edge in hiding parts of the URL? I want the URL bar to show me the exact URL of the page I'm on, not a redaxcted version or the history of how I got to this page, which seems like the opposite of "transparency".

Given they're claiming to give "real user choice", I very much hope this can be disabled and won't end up being forced.

I agree. It's important that this stuff can be disabled. The address bar already does too much extra garbage that can't be disabled. I don't want more of it.
