Show HN: A daily question to train positive thinking and boost your mood

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/daily-optimist-think-positive/id1466175138

Hi HN! I built this a few years ago, but after seeing super-negative headlines and newsfeeds everywhere I decided to re-launch it recently.

This is a super-simple RN app that asks you a daily question to lift your spirits, frame positive thoughts, and boost your mood. It's meant to lower the bar-to-entry to gratitude journaling.

There's 2 other big apps out there on the app store, but they seemed to have quite a few features and not the right framing for me. Mindfulness was not really my goal, optimism more so. I built it for personal use, but a few friends have started using it too so thought I'd share here.

No real big plans behind this - it's a side project, but I'm curious if there's a need out there.

Please let me know your thoughts, and give it a spin!

2 similar apps already on app store:

- Reflectly vs Daily Optimist - I love Reflectly's Gratitude, but am not sure about the weekly rhythm. Costs $19.99. Great app! https://apps.apple.com/us/app/reflectly-journal-ai-diary/id1...

- Daylio vs Daily Optimist - Daylio is beautifully built too. I understand the charting of the mood less, but for more data-driven users this is a great option. Rating your mood with emoji is a good way to lower the bar for daily entries. Also $17.00/year. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/daylio-journal-daily-diary/id1...
