>Tell half the population the future doesn't include them

>Get surprised and angry when they stop cooperating with your vision of the future

You might complain that we voted for Trump but you asked for him.

dotcoma•1d ago
Genuinely interested in your comment. What was told to half the population, in your opinion? Flyover America was told what, in your opinion? Thanks.
jqpabc123•1d ago
The really funny part --- you seem to actually believe you and your kids have a place in Trump's future.
msgodel•1d ago
I'm sure doubling down will bring back public consensus. Keep at it.
jqpabc123•1d ago
Consensus is not possible with those bent on self destruction.

Those devoted to regression always get run over by the future. Trump is simply putting the steamroller into overdrive.

owebmaster•1d ago
Oh what do you expect of them, allegiance? Submission?
msgodel•1d ago
At this point I want them to self sort so they leave the rest of us alone.
owebmaster•1d ago
I'm sure doubling down will bring back public consensus.
msgodel•7h ago
See that's the part that a lot of people who want these public institutions don't understand: We don't need consensus except to have those. You need to apologize to the public if you want them back, we can just walk away.

This is a practical thing, not a moral one.

owebmaster•7h ago
Now I need to apologize because of your guys infighting? Looks like you want to triple down
msgodel•6h ago
You don't need to. You could just let it go and forget about it. But if you want it you're going to have to figure out how to convince the public it benefits them. You've been doing the opposite and openly attacking half the country for years.

If I wrote an email to the executive team or board of directors at my employer every Monday telling them they have no future at the company and I hope they get replaced how much longer do you think I'd have a job? That's what all these institutions have been doing.

jqpabc123•1d ago
What I personally expected was enlightened self interest.

What we got was the opposite. Those threatening to shoot themselves (and everyone) in the foot finally went ahead and pulled the trigger.
