Did anyone expect that this was anything other than a sham to let the administration pick and choose the science and medicine that fits its agenda?

Props to the writer for articulating uncertainty about how to report on this. The general rush to have the fastest hottest take is a weakness in modern journalism and buying into that in my view makes people more susceptible to propaganda.
