These days I occasionally run into an app with no words and abstract symbols. I have to guess which one does what I want.

I mess up 50% of the time when I want to open the Google Maps app. I tap the M icon, but that's for Gmail.

"The WinHelp team received a question from one of the overseas offices asking why the icon for Search was a frying pan."

After reading that, I realize it does look like a frying pan. This had me thinking about the "floppy" icon for saving, and that most people under .. X years old have never used one.
