My local small-time aerospace museum keeps their aircraft in better shape than that.

I'm really kind of surprised they would provide this video.

This clearly indicates they had a real time communication link with the drones.

Russia could find this useful to prevent similar attacks in the future.

Local 3G/4G mobile network. I believe everything came clear for russians in first hour, so no secret there
toomuchtodo•8mo ago
The countermeasures needed would grind Russia’s transportation and telecommunications networks to a halt. The broadly available tech is what enables the power asymmetry.
fpoling•8mo ago
I was also surprised initially, but then Russia got a lot of videos themselves and they also got stats about mobile traffic with tenths of SIM cards being activated at the same time and sending a lot of data. So Russia new everything.

On the other hand publishing the video may be an attempt at diversion. It could be that some drones were fully autonomous or were launched not from tracks.

Yet another possibility is a message to Putin and people around him. If Ukraine can destroy Russian bombers, think what can happen with Russian officials.
