TLDR - they are “integrating” Claude Sonnect into XCode. That must mean that XCode will be able to connect to an external service. Will it be standardized? Will it allow you to choose specific models? Will it allow you to choose a different provider? Can you use it with something local?
I guess it’s good progress. But at best, this is only going to get them to parity with Cursor or VSCode or Zed, etc. And it is unlikely to be as flexible…
