Can we please stop calling them "Godfathers" of AI??
Not for any politically-correct reasons as such (though that it is), but it is infuriating to see the same old 3-4 people named in this category (yes, all male, all white) equated to the head of organized crime syndicates.
Are you not familiar with the Christian tradition of having godparents participate in a child's baptism? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godparent It's a way to say that although they didn't make the breakthrough (like biological parents) they were still involved spiritually (like godparents).
