This worries me because I think LinkedIn has a set of assumptions and usage patterns that I would not want to see spread... well, anywhere, really. But certainly not to Office.

It could be this person is savvy enough to avoid that problem, but I'm still concerned.

I remember enjoying using Windows, I still fondly remember the Start Me Up commercials for Windows 95.

For a long time Windows and Office was functional and I could configure it to stay out of my way and do my work. It felt like there was at least some level of respect for my experience and choices at Microsoft.

But now almost everything I touch with Microsoft feels like it is pointed AT me, and none of it seems FOR me to do what I want. Windows updates kept wiping out my settings. The start button turned into a nightmare, windows feels like add supported software.

I used to feel like an Outlook wizard (even way back in the exchange client days), now I feel like I'm boxing with it. Teams can't even show me the correct time for my meetings, I pull it up and it shows what i think is UST and then eventually switches to my timezone like some garbage web app.

LinkedIn, I struggle to see my colleges in any kind of feed that makes sense ... it's just people @me with hilarious go company hype stories. LinkedIn tied to office of all things sounds like a horror show.
