This was a solo project I built over a couple months. It's an experiment mixing Character.ai with TikTok-style videos. Characters respond with messages and video “memories” pulled via RAG from a video database.

I tested this with a bunch of students and realized the idea wasn’t sticky enough to justify continuing, so I’m pivoting. But I figured others might benefit from the code or learnings.

The repo includes virtualized chat + session history, short-form video integration and video autoplay, internationalization, Supabase setup, Mixpanel analytics and lessons on why the format didn’t quite work (in the README).
