I block advertising wherever I can. If ads can't be blocked, I stop visiting that site.

I'm not subscribing at a monthly fee, too. I just don't want to do it. You can cry, but I won't even look.

But:

- I would pay a small fee for reading an article I want to read. That is most of the time not possible OR is on purpose done ridiculous expensive to lurk one into subscribing. NO! THANK YOU.

The reason for this is: I engage in the site's well-being by visiting it and actively writing comments or getting involved into discussions - that's work I do (kind of community-glu'er) and don't get anything for that. So, if I don't get anything, no one can force me to do everything including watching ads, paying subscription, etc...
