Here we go again: another broadband bill that will most likely be another handout to Big Telecom. Meanwhile, millions will have to choose between their local cable and xDSL monopolies, with no better alternative in sight.

It's because they have different interests and value different things than you do, so they vote for whoever or whatever checks the most important boxes for them. Don't forget the two-party system and all around rhetoric that demonizes the other side that comes from both sides.
