I read this POV a lot in advice: essentially, just don't think about others because they don't think about you.
I don't find it to be true.
My experience is that life is full of moments when I go back to something from earlier today or 30 years ago, reflect on it, then go back to something else.
I can't tell you the amount of times I've cheered myself up thinking about a hilarious typo in a group chat.
You should learn to laugh at yourself, not forget yourself and others.
