Looks like an intel Mac Pro sold in 2023 will be supported by macOS 26 (fall 2025), but not by (Apple Silicon only) macOS 27 (fall 2026), though it will get security updates through 2028?
Looking back at Apple's previous architecture transition, a Power Mac G5 sold in 2006 was supported by Mac OS X Leopard in 2007, but not by (x86 only) Snow Leopard in 2008.
So by my count, the last intel Mac Pro is getting at least one more year of OS support than the Power Mac G5 did.
Personally I'd like to see Apple commit to 10 years of OS support from original purchase date (vs. system introduction date), since the hardware often lasts that long, but their business incentive is to sell hardware.
